Belltown Dome is a covered natural ice pad located in the Britannia area of Bay Ward. In the winter residents can enjoy ice skating and ice sports. In the summer the arena is used for other sports such as ball hockey and lacrosse. Schedules are posted below.

Ice conditions are weather dependent. Watch this page for updates about closures during the winter months when fluctuating temperatures impact ice conditions.

Public engagement

The Belltown Dome in Grandeur Park has reached the end of its operational life, and the City is inviting residents to help reimagine what the new space could look like.

Public consultations are now underway to understand what matters most to the neighbourhood. The goal is to ensure the site continues to provide accessible, walkable amenities that reflect local needs.

Residents are encouraged to comment on proposed concepts, suggest adjustments or bring forward their own ideas for the space on Engage Ottawa until February 26, 2026.

Registered programs

Registered programs are structured activities that run weekly or seasonally. You must sign up in advance to participate. Examples include swimming lessons, dance or music classes and summer camps.
